Basics

What is your style of photography?

Our style can best be described as a free-style allowing us to use whatever techniques and approaches given the environment we’re working in and the subjects we’re working with. 

This ranges from a candid or photo journalistic approach during ceremonies to a loosely directed style when producing portraits. Irrespective of the style we adopt, our approach is to be as unobtrusive and respectful as possible to our clients and their guests.

How long have you been working as a wedding photographer?

Being a second generation photographer, Ketan has been photogrpahong friends, family and events from a young age. He has been shooting weddings and events commercially for the last 15 years, the last 12 of which was full time.

How many weddings do you shoot a year?

We cover around 20 weddings a year. Wedding photography is very labour intensive and we find that this is our comfort level without comprising quality.

When not shooting weddings, we’re engaged in shooting portraits, events and corporate assignments.

Have you worked at our venue before? If not, will you visit beforehand?

We’ve worked with venues across Greater London and around the UK. For venues that we’ve not worked at before, we do desktop research and also consult with colleagues. If it’s necessary for us to visit your venue, then we’ll schedule some time to me you there. There may be a charge for the visit.

Rest assured that for new venues, we get to the event early and have a walk about to get a feel for and assess how light interacts with the environment.

What information do you need from us before the wedding Day?

Itinerary of your day is absolutely critical. This would typically include addresses, timings and contact numbers.

We require your itinerary 2 weeks before your event to help us prepare effectively.

Will I be able to give you a list of specific shots we’d like?

We’re not in the business of directly copying the work of others.

If you have some ideas, we’d love to hear them, and given the opportunity, we’ll lend our ceativity to producing something similar, yet unique to you.

Do you have back-up equipment?

Yes! Expecting the best outcome whilst simultneously prepparing for the worst is termed being professional!

Each of our photographers has multiple bodies and lenses. Furthermore, each camera captures on 2 cards simultaneously. Back in the office, all your  images are backed up and stored in 3 separate places. Touch wood! We’ve never lost an image!

Mishaps can still occur, however, we take every possible action to mitigate those risks.

Investment

What wedding packages do you offer?

Interestingly, no two events we’ve covered before have been the same. As such we do not pigeon hole our clients in fixed packages. Rather, we listen to what your expectations and requirements are and we tailor a proposal specific to your needs.

As a guide, our couples invest on average £2,500 on their wedding photography. This typically includes coverage of the wedding day (wedding & reception) and a 30 page A4 album.

Do you offer an engagement shoot as part of your package

We offer an hour complimentary pre-wedding shoot with every album package booked.

To get the most from the session, we shoot in one location, which is usually in a natural setting close to our office. Should you requirement multiple looks in multiple locations with costume changes, you can upgrade to a half or full day lifestyle session.

Are there any hidden costs?

We will deliver on any services and products in the proposal for the agreed price. There are no hidden costs.

If you wish to amend the duration and nature of coverage or the specifications of your products, additional charges will apply.

Do you charge VAT?

Presently, there is no VAT charge on our quotes.

Do you charge for travel, boarding & lodging?

Coverage within London’s M25 usually incurs no travel charge. However, we will charge back any parking, congestion or ULEZ charges at cost.

Should our services be required further afield, the travel cost will be included in your proposal. Should the logistics of your events require us to to stay close by, the boarding and lodging will be charged back at cost.

What is your payment schedule?

Simple. A 30% booking fee is due to secure your date/s. The balance is due 4 weeks before your main event. 

What forms of payment do you except?

Bank transfer or cash.

What's your cancellation policy?

If you cancel your event/s for any reason, the booking fee will not be refunded. You may cancel this contract at any time by giving us written notice but in doing so shall forfeit the retainer fee. Cancellation (with the exception of severe circumstances) less than 12 weeks before the wedding will result in the payment in full becoming due. All cancellations must be in writing.

Should a change in law force you to reconsider your event dates, we advice that you consider rescheduling or even postponing your event as rebooking is likely to cost more. Cancellations resulting from changes in the law are entitled to a refund of all monies paid less costs incurred to service the booking.

Products

What products do you offer?

The natural choice for all couples is our stunning hand crafted albums in a variety of sizes and finishes.

Many add a personalised guest signing book, a wall frame or canvas. A great product to thank your parents for all their help and guidance is the popular parent book.

Can I see some full wedding albums? Are all the images yours?

Absolutely! It’s important for you to review the products you’re going to be investing in. After all, this is a lifetime investment. We’ll gladly arrange a personal consultation for you to see the stunning books on offer.

We own copyright to all images in any of the albums we design.

We do offer standalone albums for couples who choose to use their own images. It is assumed that they have copyright to those images before retaining our services.

I had a destination wedding. Can you design an album for me?

As part of our design service, we do offer a stand alone albums. We may also be able to edit your images. Based on your requirements, we’ll gladly provide a quote.

Do you offer same day edits?

We certainly do. 

We require a window of about 2 hours to download, select, edit, render and then cut to USB.

Services

What services do you offer?

We cover everything from pre-wedding shoots to post-wedding shoots. Couples typically book us for their Civil ceremony, Wedding and Reception party. For the “big fat” weddings, we also cover all the pre-wedding festivitites. Many couples take advantage of our same-day edit to add more emotion and that wow factor to their reception party.

Our couples go on to have families and call us for maternity, newborn and family sessions. Some invite us into the places of work to capture headshots or document milestones events.

Who will be covering my event/s?

Unless otherwise agreed, the person you had your initial consult with will be your Principle Photographer on your wedding day. For events prior to or after your big day, it may become necessary for one of our other team members to cover that event/s.

If for legitimate reasons your photographer is unable to cover your event, we will discuss alternatives with you.

How many photographers will attend my event?

For events in access of 150 people, it is advisable to secure an assistant or a second dedicated  professional photographer. For most pre-wedding events, one photographer is able to cover it.

Can I speak to some former clients or read testimonials

Of course you may and we’d be delighted to share a list of clients you can speak to.

What time will you stay until?

The timings of our coverage is set out in your proposal.

Ocassionally, ceremonies start late or overrun. Or perhaps you’ve made some last minute additions to the itinerary. If you need extra coverage , this will incur an additional charge per our terms of service.

Timelines

When do we get to see our images?

Post production takes 8-12 weeks.

Many times, we’re able to share your images sooner. Given the opportunity, we attempt to put out teasers within a week of your last event.

Initially we share proofs (low resolution web quality images) for you to review and share with family and friends. When you album is done, we render high resolution jpegs, ready to print.

How long does it take to design my album?

Once you’ve shortlisted your favourite images, we’ll start designing your album. This process takes 1-2 weeks. 

You are allowed 3 sets of changes. Each set of changes takes about a week to action.

When will I get my book?

Once you’ve signed off the final draft, your book enters production in Europe. Your book is primarily hand crafted and approximately 4-5 weeks before we get it back. 

Your book is then inspected and if everything checks out, we’ll call you to make arrangments for collection. If logistics does not allow for collection, we can courier it to you. Shipping and insurance charges apply.

Destination Events

Do you do destination weddings?

Yes, of course! Having shot wedding events in India, South Africa, and Paris, we know what’s involved and what to pack.

Will I have to cover travel, boarding and lodging?

Yes. Alternately, we’re happy to make the necessary arrangements and charge it back prior to making the necessary bookings.

Will I get a discount if I pay for your travel and accommodation?

Clients choose us because we’re investing in the person/team, who have a proven track record in delivering stunning images, whilst living our core values of excellence, integrity and lifelong learning.

The package price we quote will be the best price we’re able to offer. Any travel and accommodation costs are in addition to the package cost.

How of photographers will be attending?

This depends entirely on your requirements and number of guests. 

Possible scenarios for additional photographers:

  • Bride & Groom getting ready simultaneously
  • Bride & Groom having simultaneous pre-wedding events
  • Where there is a clash of events and all of them require coverage
What happens if at the destination you're unable to cover our event?

Touch wood! We’ve never missed a wedding event, locally or abroad. 

However, accidents and illness can occur. Coming from a medical background, most minor to moderate incidents can be treated on site or using a local dispensary or medical facility. 

It’s always advisable that you seek out appropriate wedding insurance. If you’re more risk averse, it helps to secure a second photographer from our team.

Would you be able to cover ad-hoc events or be flexible to changes in the itinerary?

Our coverage is subject to our agreement. Naturally, because we’ll be onsite, there will be some flexibility in managing changes to your itinerary.

Should you require additional coverage, we may be able help out. Any additional cost will be charged to your account per the terms of our agreement.
